V-Plast 008 Concrete Plasticizer
DESCRIPTION:
V-PLAST 008 is an accelerating plasticizer or water-reducing agent for concrete and mortar and is based on calcium chloride. It is particularly useful for achieving high early strength in precast items such as blocks and lintels where no reinforcement is used, especially under low ambient temperatures. The ingredients of V-PLAST 008 are fully soluble in solution, and no respiration occurs even at low temperatures. V-PLAST 008 is formulated from carefully selected Raw materials and is manufactured under controlled conditions to give a consistent product. It is based on naturally derived materials dissolved in a calcium chloride solution.
METHOD OF USE
V-PLAST 008 is supplied ready for use. It should be added to concrete mixes with the water for aggregates. It should not be added directly to the cement. No extension of normal mixing time is necessary.
ADVANTAGES
Imparts early and ultimate concrete strength that enables forms to be stripped sooner and blocks to quickly achieve high lifting strengths. This effect is particularly useful at low ambient temperatures.
Increases workability of most concrete mixes, enabling easier placing.
Water reduction in the region of 10% can be made without adversely affecting the subsequent increase in strength, impermeability and durability.
Offers an improvement over most other accelerating plasticizers, and it has a fully compatible system which will not ‘seed out’ at low temperatures, which can lead to blockages of pipelines and inconsistent results.
