V-KOT 30-36 Canvas Cloth Coating
DESCRIPTION:
V-KOT 30-36 water based protective coating for thermal insulation applications and has excellent adhesion to major insulation materials and canvas. It is a white, tough, washable, abrasion-resistant coating for application. V-KOT 30-36 is a flexible, fire-resistant compound suitable for vapor sealing insulated ducts and pipes. It is also used as a lagging and lap adhesive for canvas and glass lagging cloth. V-KOT 30-36 has excellent brushing characteristics, which will result in better coverage and more uniformity in coating surfaces. V-KOT 30-36 is suitable for interior ducting. V-KOT 30-36 presents an aesthetically pleasing white finish and will not yellow or become discolored with ageing. The surface can be washed and kept free of grease, oil, soot, and other dirt accumulation.
V-KOT 30-36 provides a protective finish on air conditioning ducts and cold water pipelines when applied in two coats with reinforcing fabric embedded between the coats.
V-KOT 30-36 is an eco-friendly coating compatible with polystyrene foam insulation and is free from hazardous materials such as lead, mercury or mercury compounds.
DIRECTION FOR USE
SURFACE PREPARATION: Compatible with a broad range of materials. Wide Service Temperature. All contact surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, wax, and other foreign materials adversely affecting adhesion. If required, use a suitable degreasing agent to remove the traces of grease and oil. Keep containers closed when not in use.

APPLICATION:
Use a good brush, suitable for water-based paints, making strokes as long as possible over the surface. Apply an even coat of V-KOT 30-36 on canvas or other lagging fabric. Wrap lagging fabric around the pipe covering as a protective jacket. Ensure the ends are lapped to provide a definite seal. Apply a second coat of V-KOT 30-36 to protect the pipe covering. Fabric can also be dipped directly where saturation and shrinkage are required. Apply a primer coat of dilute V-KOT 30-36 (i.e., 80 parts by weight of V-KOT 30-36 & 20 parts by weight of sweet water)before applying the next coat. It is very important to ensure that each coat is completely cured.
